Conclusion

John - Let me just say how much of a fan I am of this girl's songwriting ability... She is such a breath of fresh air. Simply and beautifully put together lyrics make each song on this EP a joy to listen to. Pair them with pretty guitar instrumentals and a rich, understated vocal, and you have something quite special. Each track tells a story and makes you feel something, and that isn't too easy to come by these days.

We have a very, very promising young songwriter on our hands, judging from The Colorado Sessions. Rudeen could quickly become a star if this is anything to go by - simply a pleasure to listen to.

Overall Score - 4/5

Tilly - I think I'm getting pretty good at finding these incredible lesser known artists if I do say so myself. I had no idea what to expect from this EP but I am so glad I discovered it. It's beautiful. We probably didn't listen to this in the right season as it has a very wintery vibe, but come November you can guarantee The Colorado Sessions will be on repeat! The simplicity, fragility and breathy tone to her voice, paired with mellow instrumentals and detailed, polished lyrics proves to be a winner.

Overall Score - 4/5

All These Countless Nights - Deaf Havana

Deaf Havana will be a familiar name to any UK based fans of rock music. Championed by Kerrang! and Rocksound in their earlier days, they rapidly gained a large following down to their catchy blend of deep, well-written lyrics and anthemic, singalong choruses. In recent years their music has changed a lot - matured, as they would probably tell you. Nowadays they are closer to indie rock than their earlier post-hardcore sound, but still with the same rich lyrical content and ability to pen a song that will stick in your head all day. All These Countless Nights is the fourth release by the band - the question is, have they still got it? Let's find out.
