All Your Fault: Pt. 1 EP - Bebe Rexha

Surprisingly, Bebe Rexha has still not released an album. Instead she has decided to release a two part EP. All Your Fault: Pt. 1 was released back in February - which is the one we will be reviewing, and Pt. 2 is scheduled to be released later this year. From playing in a band with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, to co-writing songs for some of the world's biggest stars, it's safe to say we're expecting at the very least, a decent pop EP. Hopefully our expectations are delivered.

And....once again. Here is a rundown of how our ratings work.

Conclusion

John - This was certainly an interesting listen.. The EP started off very strongly with Atmosphere and I Got You, the latter of which was released as the only single. These are the tracks that make you think this girl has an extraordinary talent for writing a catchy pop song. And then it all sort of... Went wrong. With the exception of F.F.F with G-Eazy maybe, the rest of the EP was full of tediously samey instrumentals, needless swearing, and poorly written lyrics.

Bebe Rexha shows promise with this release, but there were so many cons that I cannot rate it anywhere above a two.

Overall Score - 2/5

Tilly -Oh my. This was not what I'd expected. It started off moderately well with Atmosphere and I Got You being decent pop songs, but it sure fizzled out. Rexha's voice quickly becomes a headache, and paired with the at times strong, but overbearing production, even a six song EP felt far too long. She writes a damn good hook, and has some incredibly talented contacts but at times it felt like she was trying to cram as many swear words as she could into three minutes and it completely derailed multiple songs. The one redeeming quality of the final track Bad Bitch, was that it featured vocal distortion and it ended up sounding like 'rabbit' instead of the title of the song. I'm certain she's capable of much more, heck she even showed it at times during this EP. Fingers crossed Pt.2 is heaps better than the first one!

Overall Score - 2/5

For Fans Of - Zara Larsson, Pia Mia, Nicole Scherzinger, and JoJo.
